Rebuild Tracker · for California homeowners · pilot
Your rebuild, in one place, side by side with the cited California rules.
For families rebuilding after the 2025 Eaton and Palisades fires, or any California disaster. You enter your contractors, contracts, payments and insurance records. Rebuild Tracker compares your entries with the cited statutes and shows where they differ. It's education and record keeping, not legal advice, and every decision stays yours.

What it does
Phases
Debris removal, design, permits, construction and final, with the tasks and official links for each.
Contractor check
Type a license number. See CSLB status and classifications, the contractor bond, workers' comp or exemption, and compare the certificate of insurance dates with your job.
Contract checklist
Upload the contract PDF. Rebuild Tracker searches it for the items B&P Code 7159 lists, the down payment cap, the payment schedule, fixed pricing and the cancellation notice, each with its citation. The search can miss things; you review every item.
Payment log
Log each payment and the percent of work done. It shows when your payments get ahead of the work you marked done, the situation B&P 7159.5(a)(5) addresses, and which payments have no lien release on file.
Your insurance record
A place to record the payments you received and the dates you track, next to plain-language summaries of California rules on living expenses, replacement cost timing and emergency extensions. It doesn't evaluate your claim or contact anyone for you.
Document vault and summary
Keep contracts, permits, certificates and letters together, and print a one-page project summary.
